Mental Golf Swing Instructions Launched to Achieve Proper Golf Swing

(PRWEB) July 11, 2007

Successful golf professionals have long understood that an outstanding mental golf game is the key for a successful golf game and to master fear and anxiety. Tiger and the top tour pros have their own psychologists to train the mental game. As the great golf teacher Jim Flick said: "Golf is 90% mental. The other 10% is mental." Most of the regular golfers still think that they only need to practice the mechanical skills to improve their game. But this will change...

Andrew Scott has spilled the beans and has created a mental golf audio program, AmazingGolfMind.com (http://www.amazinggolfmind.com/pr) that uses subliminal affirmations and brain wave techniques to directly impact the golfer's subconscious or deeper mind -- without resistance of the conscious. Fear and anxiety is eliminated, golf habits become natural instincts and work on autopilot once the subconscious is trained. Tiger is said to use subliminal affirmations ever since he was 13.

AmazingGolfMind Mental Audio System contains four subliminal mental golf audios that are 20 minutes long and cover all essential parts of the golf game (full swing, short game, putting and tournament success). All you have to do is to listen 3-4 times a week to 20 minutes of relaxing music. The package also contains visual subliminal messages bonus software to improve the golf game when working on the computer.

Andrew from http://www.amazinggolfmind.com/pr said, "You know how your golf mind is full of negative mind chatter that tells you can't do this or that, and is constantly putting you down? Well, since the affirmations are subliminal, they bypass your conscious mind and go straight into your unconscious mind, where there is no resistance!

"Any golfer can benefit from this. With this system, all you need is the desire to become a better golfer with a proper golf swing, an effective short game and great putting skills and you will reach your goals by listening three times a week to 20 minutes of relaxing music in the comfort of your home."

Luc, a 9 handicap from Quebec reported after using AmazingGolfMind for one week: "The contact with the ball is more solid and I've dropped 1 to 2 shots a game."

What's Your Golf Personality? According to Dr. Alan Shapiro, the personality traits that cause problems in your everyday life can also wreak havoc on your golf game. If you're a worrier, chances are you're also anxious at the tee. If you're a control freak, you probably overanalyze your swing and tend to freeze up over the ball. If you have a short fuse, there is a good chance you're a club thrower. Using his experience as a psychologist and a devoted golfer, Dr. Shapiro has identified six maj

Question by gTg: Is there any easy tips to get out of a golf mental block?
I have a golf mental block but it is not my swing or anything, it is a course. I can play well on any course, even some I've been playing every other weekend for a while, but every time I go to this specific course my game is horrible, I cant hit it straight, I cant chip, I loose a ball on every other whole and my round score is in the hundreds while at the other courses my score is in the low to mid 90's. Any tips on getting out of this block?

dont think about your game or what course you are on just focus on the one shot you are making at that very moment. if u made a bad shot before forget about it and worry about this one. golf is a mental game and a very tough one. good luck.

Golf Mental Challenge

By: Bill

The Golf Mental Challenge is all about managing your thinking, emotions and behaviour throughout your golf game.

No matter what level you play, this is the great challenge of golf. You will always be developing and working on every aspect of your game. Including your golf mental game, thinking, your body, your physiology, your emotions, your golf swing, course management and strategy.

Obviously when we talk about your mental game the reality is your mind, body and emotions are intertwined through your neurology. They each impact the other in what is sometimes referred to in neuro linguistic programming as a cybernetic loop.

Here are some tips to help you with your golf mental game:

Create a consistent game. Consistency comes by having consistent thinking, emotions and behaviour throughout your game. Have a consistent pre-shot routine. If you are interrupted, stop, take three deep breaths and start again from the beginning.

Slow down, take your time. Set your own pace throughout your game. This counts when making a shot, in your golf swing, and walking between shots. Rushing creates mistakes. Unforced errors and unnecessary extra strokes.

Golf Psychology: Using Mental Imagery to Improve Your Game

Maintain focus and concentration. Focus on what you want. Play to your target. Only play the shot at hand. Focus on your breathing and be totally present. Commit to a shot one hundred percent. If it does not look or feel right, start again.

Stay relaxed. Less is more. Conserve your energy. Including emotional energy. Trust your swing. Tell yourself - relax - that's right. Regularly shake your hands out and stretch to let go of any tension.

Develop your rhythm and timing. Go with your natural rhythm, follow your breathing. Tap into your natural golf swing. Breathe in on the back swing and breathe out through your downswing, through the ball to the target.

Be ready to play from the first tee. Have a pre game routine of imagining the game you want to play. Practice a couple of shots with your driver, long and short irons, then head to the practice green for some putting. Get the feeling right for the day. Give yourself plenty of time, do some stretches and be relaxed.

Give yourself a greater chance of placing a shot where you want it to go. See where you are going to hit the ball. Where you want it to land. See the shot in your mind. Tell yourself exactly what you want to happen, feel what it is like when it has happened.

Overcome a bad shot with ease. Manage your emotions. If a shot does not work, say to yourself emphatically - next! Let it go there and then, move on to the next shot.

Reinforce great shots. Reward yourself. Really anchor that feeling of satisfaction into your brain and neurology by saying something like - yes or that's right - to yourself.

Have confidence. Confidence comes from being clear about what you want and setting yourself up for success and lots of wins. One shot at a time. Play for accuracy over distance. Play smart. Stay or get back into play.

I hope these tips really help your golf game.

Golf is a sport of excellence. Have a golf mental game of excellence. Play to the spirit of the game, be driven to continually improve. The first step is to be aware of your strengths and self sabotage. Work on your golf mental game, your thinking on the course, emotional management, your golf swing and skills.
