The Ryder cup team is based on top eight players based on points plus four captain's picks. Tiger is now ninth in the point standings, but not playing his best. Witness Bridgestone. If Tiger doesn't qualify on points, should Corey Pavin select him as one of the captain's picks? Can Tiger even bring value to the team at that point? I know, sounds ridiculous. But what would you do in Pavin's shoes?
Am I the only one who thinks the Ryder Cup is lame?

There is so much talk about the captains, the captain's choices, the pairings, etc - but I just don't get it. The Ryder Cup seems like a lame attempt to turn an individual sport into a team competition. Why do players even care if they make the team? Why do they take time out of their life to even play - wouldn't they rather have a week off? Do you think the players really care if they win or lose? Also, since the players don't get paid - where does all the money go?
Was it fair for the US to bring the weather with them for the Ryder Cup?

I see the Americans have brought the tail-end of Hurricane Gordon with them for the Ryder Cup. Is that fair? Is there no end to the tricks they will try to win a sporting event?

I am going to be in Ireland for the Ryder Cup. We are staying in Dublin and have a rental car. Someone told me that we can't drive there (& park there) but that we must reserve seats on Irish rail and take the train & shuttlebuses. Is this true? Why can't I drive to the Ryder Cup? Please help as I actually leave today!

Sorry Nick but the Majors are stroke play-the Ryder Cup is match play. Also The Majors are individual tourneys-the Ryder cup is a TEAM event. You would think someone of his experience would know better!
