When you get in that scenario it feels like things are speeding up and you have trouble thinking clearly. This is the time to back off and slow down. I mean consciously slow your walking pace and breathing and focus on the task at hand, which is analyzing the best place to play the next shot to and playing to that location. It sounds like a cliche, but 1 at a time is the way to do it. When you start thinking about your score, laugh at yourself a little bit, recognize what you’re doing and push it away. Go back to steady routine and play the next shot.
