Tips about: course management, shot selection, mental game, how to score better….
I have one:
Don’t get technical when playing golf. Envision you shot, make it happen, have confidence. Working on swings, and technical stuff is for the range.
Thanks!!!

Know Thyself…
What I mean by that is….play your game, don’t try to do too much.
If you’re faced with a 200 yard carry over water and you know that if you mishit this shot a little bit you’re going swimming….then hit two 100 yard shots….give yourself the best chance you can for success….
That’s my best advice to you.
What I need to constently remind myself is that golf is a game, and a game should be fun and relaxing. When I get to that point, the score pretty much takes care of itself.
not pga worthy but chap stick smeared on the face of the club will help with a slice or hook
no dought about it golf is a headgame u cant let it get to ur head win when u get a bad shot u just got to forget it and take it one shot at a time another solution get really good clubs my opinon is that it kind of matters
TURN OFF THE BRAIN ,KNOW U CAN MAKE THE SHOT . ALWAYS STAY RELAXED ,KNOW YOUR THE MAN ALWAYS !!
Focus on your level of confidence before each shot, and keep score for an entire round. give yourself a 10 for being totally sure and committed to the shot. Give yourself a one if you second guess yourself.
You will be surprised at the correlation between having your mind at ease and hitting a good shot!
keep your mental game solid, don’t think negative thoughts as you go up to hit your next shot
Challenge yourself. What I do is I break my round down into 6 parts. 3 holes each, and I decide that my handicap is say 6, I will try to play 2 of them in even par and the other 4 in no more than 1 over. That is how I work on getting the number down. When I use to be a 10 I decided that I should play half par golf. so I arranged the holes in a way that I though I could acheive that score then went after it. That also helps with the mental side because you are not thinking about your score as a total but only as a 3 hole section. If you don’t make one so what. You may finish another lower than you had planned.
I would have to agree with you Mike on your comments regarding in not playing over technical. The more simple the game that i play the better… as well as feeling more comfortable in your game you are playing highier percentage shots.
One tip that has shaved a few shots off my gae is the chip and run. I enjoy the theatrics of the high ball but rearly land it within good distance from the cup. I’ve been playing it save and using the chip and run and have had success with it.
On the range when i practice I like to hit 10 shots and see how many would make it on a imaginary green that has like a tree or something to mark the middle of it. I like to make fun games out of my practice. That way I like to practice. Also i dont like to think negitve thoughts about shots. Like im going to miss this when im standing over a 3 footer. That really helps. Be positive
Have fun, turn off negative thinkings, remember to stretch before every game to avoid injuries and follow the rules and adopt the etiquette always
Find an intermediate target, like a broken tee or a dandelion that’s about 6-12 feet from you that’s on the same line as your ultimate target. Easier to line up your shots that way, and can be done on any shot.
Just hit the ball works for me. Another is grip it and rip it!
But really imagine that their is no hole no pin your goal is to hit the green its that simple do that and you will make twice as many pars. Finish your swing is a great thing to say to yourself before you hit the ball. Otherwise golf is a very easy game pros are better because they are talented athletes who hit the ball very pure 95% of the time work on that get more distance and youll have more fun. Golf is really 100% physical you dont hit the ball with your mind envisioning the shot doesnt really do anything in fact your arms and hands can only hit the ball. pros get a yardage say 175 to pin and pick the club they know will go at least 180 yards and if the miss will carry about 170 this ensures they hit or barely miss the green. From my expereince who I play with effects my game mentally if I play at a public course with some doofs then im really not into the game it just doesnt feel right compared to a competitive environment. I hope you play your best golf good question and have fun!
Play to your strengths.
I always liked "play the hole backward", or, try to figure out where you want to be 2 shots from now, before you even hit the next shot.
dont make things technical youll just confuse yourself and this will make you even more frustrated.
RELAX AND HAVE FUN
light grip, keep your head down. Don’t even watch the ball take off, it will help I promise
if your interested in lowering your score spend more time on your short game. By that I mean practice chipping and putting endlessly. Think about this. If par is 72, 36 of your shots should come from putts, but it seems more golfers practice full swings rather than concentrating on their putting. The same holds true for chipping. most average golfers never spend anytime practicing their chipping
