I am planning on moving this September and am looking for some opinions. I live in Arizona right now, but I am considering moving to Denver, CO, Portland, OR, ....
My degree is in turfgrass science, so anything with golf or sports will do and my fiance is in the Neuro Psychology field.
We would like to stay on the west coast... .what are some great places to live, and why?

This is a pretty good site for the question.
Think of what features attract you to a city, what kind of neighbors you want, the activities you enjoy. There are lists that rate cities as per those features.
Planet Earth.
Well I was born and raised in Denver and have moved out of this city maybe half-a-dozen times… Only to find myself coming back! So I have decided that it is the place for me. Denver is gorgeous and has a lot to offer, without being overwhelmingly huge at the same time.
Personally I think the weather is a big bonus too because although we get a lot of hot and cold, the elevation keeps it very moderate and never too extreme. Also it is one of the cities in the US with the most days of sunshine (so I’ve heard). You have to be able to deal with some snow though…
If you are single (I am not, but once was!) it has a ton of bonuses as well and supposedly is one of the best cities for singles. Denver is kinda pricey compared to a lot of the US but it isn’t horrible. Denver also is pretty balanced in respect to politics (not overwhelmingly liberal, but not too conservative either), so it is easy to get along with in that respect.
I like Portland too but am not that familiar with it and it is a little liberal for me, raising a family and all.
